Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) - This is a cooperative grant program jointly controlled by the County and nineteen of the county's twenty-five municipalities. About half of the annual grant goes directly to the participating municipalities for eligible projects of their choosing. The grant also funds a housing rehabilitation program serving low income homeowners (see Housing Preservation Program), and a limited number of sub-grants to nonprofit agencies serving low income, elderly or disabled persons.
