This
division provides health screening and education for adults in the community
in collaboration with local community agencies to provide a variety
of programs for the purpose of chronic disease prevention.
ADULT HEALTH
SCREENING CLINIC PROGRAM
This program addresses
the needs of the community and provides community based services. Screening
clinics are offered throughout the year in collaboration with Community

Adult Health
Screening Sessions are provided to county residents at varied
sites and may include:
- Blood pressure
screening
- Blood test for
triglycerides, cholesterol, glucose level
- Flu immunization
- Pneumococcal
Vaccination
- Pap and breast
exam
- Hearing and glaucoma
screening
- Health education
and counseling
- Prostate Health
Screening
- Screening for
other health concerns

CANCER EDUCATION
AND EARLY DETECTION PROGRAM This is a grant program targeted
to the residents of Middlesex County who meet the state mandated criteria.
The program targets minority and low income men and women. The
grant provides for outreach education regarding breast, cervical, colorectal
and prostate cancer risks, the importance of seeking screening and instruction
in breast self-exam. The grant also provides for breast, cervical,

Flu and Pneumococcal
Immunization Clinics are scheduled in the fall at various community
