The Middlefields Group Home opened its doors
to residents on January 31, 1980. The program is operated by Middlesex
County under the auspices of the Middlesex County Department of Youth
Services. Middlefields is a treatment program designed for adjudicated
male juvenile delinquents as well as appropriate residential referrals
through the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services. Operating
within the setting of a group home, the program is designed to provide
treatment to youths involved with or at risk of involvement with the
New Jersey Superior Court, Family Part. Middlefields has been specifically
designed to service chronic juvenile offenders who have not successfully
adjusted to prior placements, such as, probation, community programs,
etc.
